Homework

Seventh grade math teachers update this website daily with assignments and upcoming assessments (see below). Please check the website daily for assignments. If a student forgets their book at school, students can log on to the online textbook to access the homework or access any worksheets.

Online Resources

To access Pearson resources online, on the FHMS Website, click on “Students” on the right and click “Pearson Easy Bridge”. This will take you to your “Clever” login.

Click “Login with my Active Directory” on the left. Students have been given information about their username and password so that they can login. Please keep a copy of this information at home.

Now, click the “Pearson Easy Bridge” Icon. You will see your name and your math class. Click on the “Pearson Realize” Icon on the right side.

The math online textbook allows students to access the following:

-Virtual Nerd (video tutorials)     

-MathXL (practice problems)

-Interactive examples (examples from class for students to watch again)

-Games (to increase fluency)

Seventh Grade Math Tutoring

Unfortunately, the seventh grade math teachers will no longer be offering Wednesday morning tutoring at this time. There is a district list of tutors (for a fee) in the guidance office. Please contact Ms. Neider if you are interested.

 

Extra Credit:

Extra credit is currently NOT available for seventh grade students in math class through Pearson Realize. Students are able to log in and complete Additional Practice assignments in MathXL that will help them review for their upcoming assessment and earn extra credit in class.  To access the extra credit, students need to follow the instructions below:
*From the FHMS website, click on "Students" and then "Pearson Easy Bridge"
*Log-in to Clever by clicking log-in with my active directory
*Log-in using the following credentials:
Username: first initial then last name then last three digits of student ID, ex. jsmith123
Password: Fhsdxxxxxx (F has to be capital, x's are student id #)
*Click on the "Pearson Realize" tab on the right
*Click on "Classes" to find the assignments (the lesson numbers of the extra credit assignments are listed below). You will need to earn a 70% or greater on each Additional Practice Assignment to earn extra credit.

Students who don't have access to the internet are still able to do the extra credit. Inform your teacher no later than Wednesday, April 11, 2018

Study Island Extra Credit Opportunity

Students have from Friday, February 20th until Sunday, March 1st at the end of the day to earn blue ribbons on Study Island. The assignments are the same for math7 and prealgebra. Students need to go to study island and log in with their username and password. Their username is their first name with the first letter capitalized followed by a period and then their last name with the first letter capitalized @fhsd. For example, Mickey Mouse's username would be Mickey.Mouse@fhsd. Their password is their student id number. Once they are in, they just need to click on the third quarter extra credit assignment. Students can earn up to 12 points extra credit (not percentage points). Each blue ribbon earned is 3 points extra credit (not percentage points).
