Welcome to 7th Grade!!!

Thursday:  Perseverance Lesson

Friday:  Getting to know you activities.  PLEASE be sure to have all materials on the 7th grade supply list!!

Monday:  Library Check Out!!  You must have a free read book with you at all times.  Yes, even in math, too:)

Thursday 8/8- Getting to know you activities and classroom procedures.
Have your binder and materials in class on Friday!

Friday 8/9- Binder organization and bring your own device policy

Monday- Library visit and expectations.

Tuesday-Wednesday-District Benchmark assessment. This is not an assessment you can study for.  Students take this as a baseline for 7th grade skills.  We will allot 3 days for this assessment.

Thursday- Reading Accountability discussion and use of goal tracking sheet (ask your child about this tonight!), Google Classroom overview and small assignment, fun teamwork candy bar activity.

Friday- Students learned how to take vocabulary notes in class today.  Our first word is inference.  Vocabulary list for the year was handed out today as well, and it is updated in our Google Classroom.


Homework: READ 15 minutes and review vocabulary nightly.

Trouble signing into your Google Account?
Google account (look for the button!) and use their FHSD email credentials:

Example: Ldavis234@g.fhsdschools.org (first initial, last name, last 3 of lunch ID, and the extension).  Password is their computer password here at school!



Students should be reading 15 minutes a night to reach their goal of 3,000 minutes this school year.
