1 YEAR GOAL: By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, Francis Howell Middle School will increase MPI in Mathematics by 1% (to 396.22) and increase ELA by 1% (to 407.13) as measured by the Missouri Assessment Program (MAP).
MPI: MAP Performance Index. This is the score that we earn based on how student's perform on the MAP.
SMART STRATEGY #1 AND MEASUREMENT: Priority Standards
By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, 75% of the students will demonstrate proficiency on the identified priority standards in each content area as measured by common formative assessments.

SMART STRATEGY #4 AND MEASUREMENT: Intervention cohorts
By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, students in Intervention courses (Read 180, System 44, Leveled Literacy Intervention, and Math 180) will demonstrate an average growth of: Read 180 (120 on the RI), System 44 (180 on RI), and Math 180 (130 on MI).

CITW: Classroom Instruction that Works. It includes nine research-based best practice strategies that teachers implement in the classroom.
QFIC: Quality, Fidelity, Intensity, and Consistency. We strive to implement the CITW strategies with QFIC.

Note: The 90/90 attendance rate measures the percentage of students attending school at 90% or higher. The expectation from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is that 90% of the students will attend school 90% of the time.
90/90 is the DESE initiative that calculates how many students attend school. Goal, 90% of the students should attend school 90% of the time.
The ADA is our traditional Average Daily Attendance. It measures hourly attendance.

1 YEAR GOAL: By the end of 2018-2019 school year, staff climate survey results for all six questions will be at 80% or higher as measured by staff surveys twice annually. Also, 80% of the staff will complete each staff climate survey.
By the end of 2018-2019 school year, parent survey participation will be at 30% or higher as measured by annual surveys. Parent responses will be at 85% or higher on the annual surveys.
By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, 85% of the students will Agree/Strongly agree with the student survey questions.

Achievement
As a building we are focusing our work on improving student achievement by implementing the McREL Instructional Strategies.
Francis Howell Middle School will continue to focus on supporting our students and their work. Building positive relationships will help students have a greater sense of belonging.
Behavior:
As a Character Education initiative school, Francis Howell Middle continues to work to develop and foster positive relationships. Our discipline incidents continue to decrease.
Climate
Maintaining a positive climate with staff, students, parents, and our greater community is paramount. We look forward to working alongside you during the 2018-2019 school year.
