The Francis Howell School District is proud to announce that Chrissy Pagnotti, an administrative assistant at Saeger Middle School, has been selected as the 2020 FHSD Support Staff Employee of the Year. Pagnotti has distinguished herself as a caring individual who has an excellent rapport with students, parents, and coworkers. She is a dedicated employee who welcomes a challenge and hard work.

“My father, who recently passed away, instilled in me a strong work ethic that I carry with me to this day, and he taught me to be genuine and kind in my dealings with others,” said Pagnotti. “He was very involved with FHSD when I was growing up, so to be recognized for my efforts with the District is something I am proud of.”

Pagnotti strives to be a role model for students by treating them with respect and really listening to what they have to say. In her role, she handles numerous discipline duties, which provides her with the opportunity to lend an empathetic ear to those who might have problems. Pagnotti can also relate to students because she is one. She didn’t attend college right out of high school, but did recently completed her bachelor’s degree and is currently working toward her master’s degree. She shares her experience with students to show them that it is never too late to pursue your dream; that it just takes a little hard work and perseverance.

She truly loves her job, which is evident when you enter Saeger’s office and are welcomed by Pagnotti. ”Her presence in our office and our school has improved the climate of our building,” said Saeger Principal Dr. Kandy Worley. “Her daily interactions with students, teachers, and parents are always positive and understanding. Her willingness to help others and her can-do attitude are infectious.”

Not only is Pagnotti a dedicated Saeger employee, but she also served the Fairmount Elementary community for over seven years. Additionally, she is a product of the District. She was a member of the first kindergarten class at Fairmount Elementary and attended Henderson Junior High and Francis Howell North. She is also involved in the Francis Howell Central community, where her son is a student.

“I love being part of something big, something amazing,” she said. “Good things are happening in our schools, and I love being a part of it!”

Pagnotti will be honored, along with each school’s Support Staff Employee of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Howell of Fame Award winners, and District retirees at the annual Howell of Fame Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 4, 2020.
